About This License
The Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) license allows you to teach aspiring pilots how to fly airplanes. As a CFI, you can provide instruction for private pilot certificates, commercial pilot certificates, and even train other flight instructors. This certification is crucial for those who want to share their passion for aviation and help grow the pilot community.
Benefits
Adding a CFII to your qualifications broadens your teaching capabilities and increases your earning potential. Instrument-rated pilots are essential in aviation, and your ability to train them makes you highly valuable to flight schools and training centers. This certification also helps you sharpen your own instrument flying skills, contributing to your overall proficiency and safety as a pilot.

Specifications
The Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) license is an advanced certification that enables you to teach instrument flying. With a CFII, you can instruct pilots on how to fly aircraft solely by reference to instruments—a critical skill for operating in poor weather conditions or controlled airspace.
The duration of the CFII course can vary depending on your availability and progress, but it typically takes a few months to complete. We offer flexible scheduling options to accommodate your lifestyle and commitments.
To obtain your CFII, you must first be a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) with an Instrument Rating on your pilot certificate. You'll need to undergo additional training focused on instrument flight instruction. The certification process includes passing the Instrument Flight Instructor (IFII) written exam and successfully completing a practical test with a DPE, where you'll showcase your ability to teach instrument flight rules (IFR) procedures and techniques. known as a checkride, with a Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE), where you'll demonstrate both your flying and teaching skills.
